Costs & Methods

The shipping method for each product is based on size, weight, and necessary shipping amenities required for the item(s) being shipped. The cost of shipping varies based on the item size, weight, value and shipping method.

White Glove Shipping Appropriate for large or fragile items. Costs range from $100 for smaller items delivered locally to $1,000+ for extra large items transported across the Continental United States. Final cost depends on the size of the items and the buyer's location. Local deliveries typically take about 2 weeks and longer distance deliveries typically take about 3-8 weeks. 

Flat Rate Shipping Shipment through recognized carriers such as UPS, FedEx, and USPS. Appropriate for smaller items, most accessories and some small furniture. Costs range from $0 to $299 and up, depending on the size and weight of the item. Delivery is typically 3-10 days.

Local Delivery As a lower cost alternative, we offer local curbside delivery of selected items within a limited geography around Bellingham, WA. The buyer must contact the seller within five business days of their purchase to coordinate a delivery date and time. Delays may result in additional charges. Cost for this service is determined on a case-by-case basis based on the size and weight of the item(s), delivery location, and packing and handling costs. If additional labor is required to move the item inside or upstairs, buyers should make sure to plan accordingly.

Local Pickup Local pickup allows a buyer to avoid shipping costs by picking up an item in person from our Bellingham, WA location. The buyer must contact Ruckus within five business days of their purchase to coordinate a pickup date and time. Delays may result in additional charges. Handling and packing fees may still apply.

How Shipping Works

Smaller items and decor are generally shipped via UPS, FedEx or USPS and typically take 3-10 days for delivery. Following a purchase our customers will receive an email confirming the carrier name and tracking number.

For larger items and furniture we schedule all orders within 3 business days following a sale, and our buyers receive an update with the carrier name and tracking number via email. Most larger items are picked up by the shipping company within 10 business days following receipt of a tracking number. Our white glove shipping partners will handle any needed wrapping and/or packaging and all items are insured for the full sale price against damage that occurs during the shipping process.

Following pickup, local deliveries typically take 3-10 days, and longer distance deliveries typically take about 3-6 weeks. In some cases delivery can take up to 8 weeks. This typically happens when the buyer is located in smaller or more remote markets where white glove pickup and delivery frequency is only once or twice per month.

As a unique marketplace selling art, sculpture and furniture going to buyers all over the country, shipping can take longer than traditional retail purchases. Most larger items require special handling and must be shipped using specialized shipping partners. If an item can be safely packed to move through lower cost small package (UPS/FedEx etc.) or freight channels, we try to do so.  

Local Pickup

Local pickup allows a buyer to avoid shipping costs by picking up an item in person from our Bellingham, WA location.

The buyer must contact Ruckus within five business days of their purchase to coordinate a pickup date and time. Failure to do so may result in additional charges. Once arrangements are made, Ruckus will ensure the item is prepared and available for pickup at the agreed-upon location, date and time. In some instances, handling and/or packing fees may apply.

We ask that the buyer inspect each item fully before completing a local pickup. If, at the time of pickup, the buyer determines that an item purchased does not match their expectations they do have the option to cancel the sale and request a refund (less the 20% restocking fee and any applicable packing and handling charges). In these cases the buyer should leave the item at the pickup location and contact info@RuckusArtGallery.com to cancel the order and request a refund. After the purchase has been removed from the seller's location the sale will be considered final.
